Software Developer
I have been developing software for 20 years. Primarily, I make use of the C and C++ languages.

I have implimented and maintain the network data systems at St. Paul's Lutheran Church and School in West Allis, Wisconsin. I began by recommending an upgrade path for the pc-lab workstations, and then the rest of the pcs from there. We now have pcs in all classrooms on the network enabling teachers and students to communicate with each other and the office. A broadband DSL connection provides access to the internet and allows us to host our websites and e-mail. I have since been able to pass on some of my knowledge to one of the teachers, so he can take care of much of the day-to-day operations and front-line support.
We have upgraded the sound system in our church. We replaced an older PA system that was located in a room off to the side with a new mixing console located in the back of the nave. This arrangement allows the sound engineer to actually hear and see what is going on during the services and make adjustmens as necessary. The improvements will also benefit our radio ministry. My involvement, along with several others on a comittee, has been to develop a plan for the replacement. We hired a consultant to determine what we really needed to do, and then we scaled it back for our budget constraints.
