Our Homes
The following is a discussion of the homes in which we have lived over the past 17 years...
Town of Brookfield, WI
Our third home was is in the Town of Brookfield near Waukesha, WI where we were for 7 years. It is the youngest house we have owned. With each one we seem to be getting newer and newer buildings. The home is a traditional 1959 ranch set on the side of a hill with exposed basement. The quality workmanship shows through in every detail of this beautiful home. The floors and trim are all natural Oak. The large picture windows in the living room reveal an unmatched view of the hills to the south-east. The garage opens to the side and is under the living room giving easy access to both the front and rear of the lot. The large park-like yard provides an ideal place for Bryce to play. It is located close to several parks, shops, and restaurants. The neigborhood is a pleasant place to take walks. The hilliness makes it quite challenging. We also enjoy being able to entertain and cookout in the backyard.
Here are some views of the house...
Milwaukee, WI Our second home was a typical 1927 two story bungalow in Milwaukee, WI. The house is located on the near-south side of Milwaukee near the city's Jackson park. We stayed there for eleven years. During our time there, we did extensive cosmetic remodeling that included: restoring the living room and dining room floors to the original hardwood, and removing paneling from the living room and dining room walls.
Rockford, IL Our first home was a 1910 two story shingle style bungalow in Rockford, IL. The home had beautiful oak trim throughout the main floor. Located just off State street, it is near the Swedish-American Hospital and Sinisippi park. While we were there, we removed the carpet from the floors to reveal the original oak which we refinished. We enjoyed walking through the neighborhood and to the ice cream stand a few blocks away.
